Les' Background
As the former Assistant Chief of Police in Tempe, Arizona, Les managed a highly respected agency using a leadership style characterized by a strong sense of purpose and professionalism. Les fine-tuned his skills in leadership, management and supervision during his career in law enforcement in a department that quadrupled in size between 1971 and 1993. Les and his executive management team were responsible for 270 sworn personnel, 220 civilian employees and managed an annual budget of $20 million.
